10. Mike Portnoy - Dream Theater
Michael Stephen Portnoy (born April 20, 1967) is an American drummer primarily known as the drummer and backing vocalist of progressive metal band Dream Theater. Drum is known for his prowess and technical expertise, Portnoy has won 23 awards from the magazine of modern drummer. He has been put together to produce the last five Dream Theater albums with guitarist John Petrucci, starting from the metropolis pt. 2: Scenes from a memory. Bruford has conducted a number of popular acts since the early 1970s, including duty as the drummer for Genesis. From 1972 to 1997, Bruford was the drummer for the progressive rock band King Crimson. Bruford moving away from progressive rock to concentrate on jazz, leading his own jazz group, Earthworks, for several years. 6. Terry Bozzio - Frank Zappa
Terry Bozzio was born December 27, 1950 in San Francisco, California. He began playing drums at the age of six years from a variety of waste materials such as cans of coffee and stick fracture. At age 13 he witnessed the performance of the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, and begged her father for drum lessons.
